Choose IaaS, PaaS or SaaS and evaluate a declared baseline responsibility matrix. Provider-managed tasks are outside the customer patch checklist; data-access configuration and customer credentials remain customer obligations. Actual service contracts refine this model. The result is an exercise, not a scan or compliance assessment of your accounts. AWS: EC2 IaaS / managed platform / SaaS concepts. GCP: Compute Engine IaaS / App Engine / Google SaaS concepts. This is a declared baseline, not every provider product contract. Google Workspace is a Google SaaS example, not a resource inside a GCP project. Actual contract, configuration and business requirements define each responsibility. No cloud resources are created.

EC2 IaaS / managed platform / SaaS concepts: Managed service boundaries shift operational ownership; they do not make customer data or identity choices disappear.
A conceptual ownership exercise with seven explicit tasks, not a model of every provider product, contract or security control.
Responsibilities evaluated, seed 42. Plotted sample sizes respect each lesson’s explicit input limits.
Keyboard: Space play/pause · ←/→ step · R restart · 1–5 speed. Reduced motion disables transitions.
Renting infrastructure, a managed platform and finished software shifts different operational duties.
Choose AWS or GCP mapping, change one validated model parameter and load the trace. Provider labels identify concepts; the model never provisions resources or calls a provider account.
Compare IaaS, PaaS and SaaS against explicit task ownership. IaaS exposes guest OS/runtime/app maintenance, PaaS manages the runtime, and SaaS manages application source. Customer tenant-data policy and account credentials remain customer choices.

Change the service boundary and inspect which incomplete patch flags remain customer gaps. Then make a tenant data-access decision unsafe and explain why SaaS does not fix it. Predict the next modeled decision before advancing.
Use the displayed measured operation and explicit bounds. Simulator operations, service quotas, network latency and cloud billing are different measurements. Validate production capacity using the selected product and workload.
The four references implement the core local state model. Provider annotations and UI controls surround that model; the snippets do not authenticate, provision resources or replace a vendor SDK. Worked saga references assume reliable local compensation.
Use the scenario to explain access patterns, ownership, failure policy and the operational assumptions behind a cloud service choice.
This is a declared baseline, not every provider product contract. Google Workspace is a Google SaaS example, not a resource inside a GCP project. Actual contract, configuration and business requirements define each responsibility.
Explain one concrete outcome, one provider distinction and one unmodeled production concern.
